PADI’s current professional pathway uses separate, stackable Tec 40, Tec 45 and Tec 50 Instructor ratings. This training pathway supports qualified instructors as they build the experience and teaching ability required at each level.
Final entry requirements depend on the instructor rating you are working towards. James will confirm the correct route from your current qualifications and logged experience.

Entry requirements
- PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or higher
- PADI Enriched Air and Deep Diver Specialty Instructor ratings
- The relevant Tec 40, Tec 45 or Tec 50 Diver rating
- Required logged technical dives and teaching experience for the target level
