Course overview

Tec 45 is the second step in the PADI TecRec progression. It develops more demanding dive planning and problem-solving skills while extending your qualified depth and decompression capability.

Before you start

Entry requirements

  • PADI Tec 40 Diver or qualifying certification
  • PADI Rescue Diver or qualifying certification
  • 50 logged dives, including 10 deeper than 30 metres
  • Minimum age 18 and medical approval
What you’ll develop

Course outcomes

  • Plan and make single and repetitive decompression dives
  • Use one decompression cylinder with gas up to 100% oxygen
  • Manage technical problems with increased self-sufficiency
  • Prepare for progression to PADI Tec 50
